The 5 things No One ever tells you about being in love...

I'm sure at the beginning of every significant relationship, there's a SPARK.
Something to ignite the change of relation from one heart to another.
Maybe its a spark of friendship.
A spark of mutual respect.
A spark of excitement.
A spark of love.

1.Your life experience REALLY DOES affect the way you connect with people. (especially when falling in love)

For me? It was a spark of familiarity.

I met my fiance at a very young age... and we reconnected years later. However, I don't believe that's why he is so familiar to me.
When I moved back, I was running away from a toxic relationship that I had been a part of for 4 years. I didn't really want to be around anyone I might be attracted to. "Dating" was this new terrifying thing that I was very hesitant to take part in. I felt incredibly vulnerable and alone for the longest time. After reconnecting with Braeden ,those fears left.
I think God realized what I was going through and sent me this giant blessing in the form of Braeden.
I truly believe that when you find the person you can spend forever with, they will feel so familiar and comfortable.
Like applying aloe vera to an awful sunburn.

2.You don't always get hit by a lightning bolt.

Society teaches us that falling in love is like getting hit by a lightning bolt. That somehow the heavens open and angels sing when you find "THE ONE". Lies. All of it. He doesnt even wear a sign or anything. That would make it too easy.  Do you think if that happened we would actually listen? Although I am a firm believer in "love at first sight"...I think that being ridiculously attracted to someone upon first perusal and actually loving them as a whole are two VERY separate things.
Sometimes we believe the person we need to commit to will come with a specific feeling of love.
NOPE.
A lot of prayer and analytical thought should go into this decision to love someone as a whole.

3.Falling in love is a hard decision.

You think falling in love just happens? Maybe in movies. Real life? Probably not. When you fall in love for the first time its new, exciting and life altering. Once you've been hurt in a relationship, you're a lot more wary of those whom you share your affections with.
Falling in love is one of the hardest decisions you will ever make, it means putting your heart out on the line and being willing to be vulnerable with another imperfect human being.
It will be okay.
Gaining experience is good for you.

4.
Love doesn't just exist.

Often we believe that once we "truly" love someone we can't "un- love" them.
NO. That's just not how things work.
Love is something you have to choose every day.
No, thats not just some cheesy advice your great grandma will give you, its the honest to goodness truth. If you arent choosing to love your partner every day, you will lose the ability too.
You might be super annoyed with something they have done but, can you still choose to love them? Yes.
The only way to create a lasting relationship is through choosing every day to love your partner, even through each imperfection.

5.You're allowed to have doubts.

Everyone believes that when you fall in love, you shouldn't have doubts.
No, you ABSOLUTELY should. Its okay to doubt your relationship. Its okay to doubt if you're ready.
IT IS OKAY. That's completely natural, in doing that you give yourself the chance to be honest about the decision you are making to give of your love to another.
You should feel safe to doubt. You should be able to communicate.
Don't feel guilty for doubting.
.
.
.
Aside from all of that:
Sometimes you'll forget your brain places.
You'll  start to daydream.
Life is the worst when you aren't around them
and
You will feel like your whole life has been completely lit on fire.
( I promise to cover more of these in great detail)

I've learned so much from truly falling for Braeden.
Things about myself that I never knew. Things about our relationship that bring us closer together. Things about him that make me love him even more.
I've loved discovering why God made Man and Woman so completely different from each other and how we truly are there to complete and uplift one another.
Falling for Braeden has taught me how to establish deeper relationships and lasting friendships with the people around me.
I'm SO grateful to have a best friend who loves me just as much as I love him and supports me in all my goals.

Love your Choice."
